Annex to the Supervisory Order dated October 24, 2008 Enacting the Law on Amendments to the Law on Public Administration of Brcko District and also Resolving the Status of the Office of the Coordinator for Brcko District in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Law on Amendments to the Law on Public Administration of Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina LAW ON AMENDMENTS TO THE LAW ON PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION OF BRCKO DISTRICT OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Article 1
The Law on Public Administration of Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina No. 19/07 and 02/08), Article 33 shall be amended to read as follows:
“Article 33
(District Coordinator’s Office at the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina)
(1) The Coordinator’s Office shall be responsible for:
a) Representation of District’s interests in the BiH Council of Ministers;
b) Establishing and maintaining cooperation and coordination with BiH institutions, international organizations, funds, embassies, as well as coordinating with competent Government departments, working groups and bodies;
c) Submitting reports and proposing activities to the Mayor and the Government as regards to coordination and cooperation of the District with the BiH Council of Ministers and other BiH institutions;
d) Other matters within competence of the Office as established by law and other regulations as requested by the Mayor and the Government.
(2) The Coordinator’s Office shall consist of a coordinator, three assistant coordinators and supporting staff.
(3) The coordinator shall be appointed for the period of 5 (five) years, whereas assistant coordinators shall be employed for indefinite time.
(4) The coordinator shall be appointed in an open competition procedure in accordance with regulations governing the procedure for appointment of the officials who are appointed or whose appointment is confirmed by the Mayor or the Assembly, and who are not subject to regulations on civil service in administrative bodies of the District.
(5) Assistant coordinators shall be appointed in accordance with the regulations governing employment in civil service in administrative bodies of the District.
(6) The regulations governing civil service in administrative bodies of the District shall be applied as regards to employment status of the coordinator and his assistants”
